Dear all, My name is Zdeslav Jelasic; I am master engineer of chemical engineering, also working on my PhD. Currently I work in Saipem on position of Painting & Coating Engineer. My duties include: Following-up painting and coating activities in all project phases (Specifications, BID preparation, Suppliers Technical evaluation, suppliers follow-up, project execution) and specifying and following-up field joint activities during the bidding and engineering phases. Before Saipem I worked five years in well and drilling services company Crosco (INA) as Stimulation engineer where I was covering both lab and field work. Regarding experience gained in laboratory, my duties included managing and supervising both stimulation and cementing laboratories. I was responsible for all aspects of labs: preparation of fluid formulations (fluid design) for well operations, conducting analysis and controlling analysis results, controlling additives; organizing work for technicians on daily basis, conducting safety meetings; procurement of chemicals, procurement and calibration of laboratory instruments and other lab equipment. While working on the oil and gas fields I was responsible for chemicals, fluids, proppant and all testing of mentioned materials in final control preformed in field lab prior to operation. My duty was also to supervise stimulation and cementing operators i.e. overseeing the operations of mixing and pumping. I also have experience with stimulation and cementing equipment and machinery, like coil tubing, batch mixers, fracturing blenders, centrifugal and reciprocating pumps (plunger, triplex) and jet mixers. So far I have worked on over hundred projects both stimulation and cementing, sometimes only through laboratory work, but most often in lab and on field. While working in Crosco I was also part of the team responsible for the development of new products used in cementing operations: CO2 resistant cement systems used in EOR project 'Zutica' in Croatia and lightweight long-term zonal isolation cements for underground gas storage (UGS) wells used in PSP Okoli Croatia.
